In my view this philosophy is the ulktimate in patient care. This concept though my own, can be backed up with scientific studies is 'Remineralize while you wait for your treatment to be completed.'

This treatment us most suitable for patients who are nervous or have not been able to attend for whatever reason for a long time and have many broken down teeth and possible active degeneration in progress. 'Heal whileyouwait' helps to 'stop te rot' so to speak and helps to begin the repair and remineralize process, so this may stop your teeth getting worse. This enables the patients' confidence to build up and establishes a good relationship with the dentist to enable restoration of the damges teeth. This 'Heal while you wait' is painless - no injections, no drilling and quick - only in th elate and advanced cases, use of drills and laser may be required (hopefully with minimum discomfort)

'Remineralization while you wait' is achieved by the use of Ozone technology, a regime of medication i.e. toothpaste, mouthrinse and mouth spray used religiously twice/thrice daily for 3-4 months.

The Ozone irradiates harmful bacteria and decontaminates, demineralized area to prevent further destruction of the tooth. The follow up medication aids the remineralization by replenishing lost minerals and repairing some of the damage. his enables the tooth to become more resistant to further breakdown.
